He was born on 19th of May,1958 to PA.KASHAMU in ijebu igbo,he started his early life in Lagos after his primary and secondary education,he lived with his uncle who is a hotelier in Lagos and worked there before joining the Yaba local goverment Council as a licencing
officer at the age of 20,after barely a year there he gathered enough money and he left there to dabble into the automobile business in(PAN) at Kaduna and from one car on his stand through his dedication within a short time he had become a popular motor dealer in Lagos,from there also he he joined the property and land business,sooner after he left the shore of the to the republic of Benin in cotonou and he invested in cotton planting business and God so blessed him that he became a household name there and made a mutual friend with the country president Mathew Kerekou to the extent of becoming the old man inlaw.he later came back into his country of origin and founded a lot of hotel and expensive guest houses in Lagos and his environ from there he met Senator Lekan Mustapha his kinsman from ijebu igbo and the later facilitate his joining of the partisan politics,Mustapha introduced him to the then State Governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel at Abeokuta as a man of deep purse,the joining Of BURUJI to the Daniel PDP in the State was not good omen to the Daniel"s because the declining of Daniel political influence started with the constant infighting between him and KASHAMU.
Had it been Daniel handle the crisis very well in mature way,the man wouldn't able to hijack the party structure from him,but Daniel underate him as a immature and inexperience politician,he therefore later paid for the silly mistakes and the man succeeded to disloged him through this formidable Omo Ilu Foundation group.
Obasanjo suddenly became the sole beneficiary of the Daniel nemesis,after when BURUJI disloged him and took the party structure he became instant popular, Obasanjo didn't know Buruji from Adam it was Daniel that introduced him to him when the going was good,Buruji through his Omo Ilu Foundation and his organization ability used to run Daniel out,he became a ready made tool for Obasanjo who have a score to settle with Daniel,Buruji handed the party structure to OBJ and on platter of gold,a decision he latter regreted.
In politics according to Asiwaju TINUBU he do always said that nobody will give you power on platter of gold but you have to fought for it,But Buruji did otherwise he believe that both him and the elderstateman would be a co-pilot of the party in Ogun State,their romance and their relationship soon turned sour when the incumbent president Jonathan asked the party to nominate someone for the vacant ministerial candidate from Ogun State,Buruji attempted to fill the slot with through all his numerous boys,but Goodluck look other way and snub him and gave his god father Obasanjo the priveledge to nominate Akinwumi Adeshina,Buruji was very upset and he went unto combat with the Ebora Owu,a very mistakes of the century he made and which is still hunting him till today,Even the ex- president goodluck who latter have a caused to sympthatised with him by handing the southwest party structure to him Buruji also have himself to blame and he paid heavily for it by loosing his 2nd term election bid.
Buruji soon confronted Obasanjo squarely and he called him to a duel even to the extent of dragging him into the court of law in respect of the book "My Watch" pen down by the elderstateman and which he was trying to launch it out to the public,Buruji believe the book was deliberately wrote to damaged his character as a suspected drugist wanted in the far away United State Of America,at last he withdraw the suit against the former president and initially before he withdraw the suit the former president have already fell into his trap of the contempt of court when he defied the court order and launch out to the public his controversial memoir,sooner or later the Yoruba elders prevail on Buruji to let the sleeping dog lied,actually Buruji succeeded through the backing of Jonathan to to disloged Obasanjo in the Southwest PDP,Obj felt sad and he started by throwing dart from any angle to Jonathan government,sincerely not that he hates or detest Jonathan for his non performance in office but he felt out with his Godson due to Kashamu scenario.
Had it been Jonathan is a wise man he would have not act contrary,Buruji used the opportunity of the party structure so well that he eventually emerged as his party senatorial aspirant against his former boss formidable candidates Daniel,whom he floor easily in the primary election of the party for the seat.
Lastly Buruji also break a jinx of Ibikunle Amosun who wanted to plant and fielded the most three prominent princes across the state as his party senator,he succeced by installing senator Gbolahan Dada and senator Lanre Tejuosho both of them the son of Otta/Awori and osile okeona monarch respectively,but in Ogun East PRINCE Dapo Abiodun fell flatly due to Senator BURUJI uppercut,BURUJI may God blessing to be upon you.
