THE CONDUCTOR COMETH : poem for Buhari

For about 3 weeks, the music seemed to have stopped.
The Conductor's swinging hands felt heavy; his grip on the cane loosened.
Yes, Moses is still on the Mount but arms have grown weary.
We must therefore "gbe owo Mose s'oke".
To perform this peculiar lifting -and thereby strengthening of Moses' hands, we must move him to a foreign infirmary in a foreign land.

Our hospitals are 'mere consulting clinics' apologies: Sani Abacha.
But this Moses must lead us to the Promised Land, to a Canaan of jobs, schools, infrastructures and of cos functional hospitals.
Rumours swirled around his health like flies around the foaming mouth of a full gourd of palm-wine.
But here we are today, Saturday, 11th February, our National Musical Conductor returns today.
And the musical beat, initially thought to have reached a diminuendo, must continue at a higher pitch!
Welcome home, Mr President.
Happy weekend, folks.
Omi Tuntun, Igba Otun!
