Tips in Buying A Used or Refurbished Phone

Well, for the records, it has been noticed that refurbished phones and used phone share the same family of devices that are not new. For a used phone, it could be as bad as either it is your countries used one or an imported.
Well, before hitting your pockets to get that money out to buy that phone, then consider the following.

It was returned for a reason, you don’t know what that reason was. Who is to say that it was an issue that can be easily duplicated and thoroughly tested to make 100% sure that the issue was resolved?
Now, if the phone was returned because it power cycled a few times every couple of days, the manufacturer might believe that it fixed the issue, but they are not going to pay an employee to actually test that specific phone for a couple of days to make sure it’s working correctly. Not when they have thousands of phones to fix and test. So take that into mind when buying a refurbished smartphone.
You are guaranteed of shorter Warranty. When buying a refurbished phone chances are there that it will not come with a one year warranty available to other devices.
Typically the warranty on a refurbished phone is 90 days or shorter as the case may be. Make sure you bring this up with whomever you’re interested in buying the phone from. If this is the case you might want to consider investing in some type of insurance. Insurance usually handles anything that the warranty doesn’t, including out of warranty by date.
Refurbished phones are usually tested. So when buying a refurbished phone it might actually work better than a new phone right out of the box, simply because it has been tested to make sure that it is working correctly.
When you file a warranty or insurance claim you usually get a refurbished phone anyways, there is typically nothing wrong with owning a refurbished or reconditioned device.
Refurbished phones are often in Like New condition, so you shouldn’t have to worry about dings, nicks, or damage on the unit and no one’s going to know its refurbished but you and whomever you buy it from.
So, try as much as possible to check carefully before getting a used or refurbished phone.
